"I see." Lithuania replied with his own soft chuckle, while he reached up and grabbed two mugs off the wall and put them down next to Canada. "Bagged tea sounds great," Toris added, offering a grin to Matthew. "I'm not very picky when it comes to offered food, especially after the time I spent with Mr. America..."
Pausing mid thought, Toris smiled to himself. "I honestly did try... to get him to eat healthier things. Your brother sure is determined to eat his processed foods...." The small country sighed quietly, both with fondness and a since of slight exasperation.

Matthew smiled in thanks as Toris sat the mugs on the counter. "Excellent," he said, pulling out two tea bags and draping one over the edge of each mug.
Matthew rolled his eyes lightly, fond exasperation filling his face. "Stopping a rogue moose with dental floss is probably easier than getting Alfred to drive past a McDonalds without stopping," Matthew said with a smirk. "Of course, the moose would actually be distracted with a salad." Matthew opened another cupboard. "Do you like any honey or sugar with your tea, Toris?" Matthew glanced over his shoulder at the other nation, pausing for his response.

His eyes widening with curious awe, the Lithuanian grinned toward Matthew. "I suspect... you have stopped a rogue moose or two in your days..?" he asked, generally curious and hopeful it may be more than a joke. After all, he had heard stories- even borne witness, to Russia subduing everything from a pack of wolves to a mother bear with his bare hands. Was Canada also capable of such feats? Considering he had a polar bear for a companion... it seemed plausible...
"Ah, just a small spoonful of sugar would be nice," Toris replied.

The Canadian pulled the sugar bowl and a small bottle of maple syrup so they were within reach for Toris to use to his tastes. Two spoons also came out of a drawer nearby and rested between the mugs. Small tendrils of steam were beginning to waft out from the mouth of the kettle, so Matthew knew it was nearly ready.
I suspect... you have stopped a rogue moose or two in your days...?
Matthew smiled as he slid a mug toward the Lithuanian nation. "One or two, I suppose. Sometimes a kid will venture into the woods behind us to try to get close, whether on a dare or out of curiosity, and the moose don't like that, so I've stepped in more than once to make sure the kids don't get trampled." Matthew poured the now-steaming water from the pot into each of the mugs as he spoke. "But as long as you leave them alone, they're pretty calm creatures, and on the whole, my people are fairly accustomed to dealing with them, so they know to be careful."
He pulled the tea bag up and down by the string a few times to let it seep into the hot water, then laid the teabag aside and stirred a spoonful of maple syrup into his tea. He blew air into the steaming liquid for a moment before testing a tiny, scalding sip to see if the taste was right. Once satisfied, he wrapped his hands around the ceramic cup, letting the heat seep through and send a warm tingle through his fingers. Matthew brushed his hair from his face and blew on his tea again. As long as he blew gently, it caused only a mild ache in his torso. He was already sick of his injured ribs, and it had only been a couple hours!
A light thumping noise filled the kitchen, coming from the direction of the back door, and Canada recognized it immediately as the sound of a wet, black polar bear nose pressing repeatedly against the sliding glass door. Kumajirou must be finished with his business.

Toris nodded as he listened enthusiastically to the Canadian Nation. Matthew truly was amazing. He pictured the blond bravely standing between a child and an angry moose, arms outspread, violet eyes determined and staring into the frenzied eyes of the beast, calming the animal with his presence alone...
"That is... fascinating." he added quickly to break his silence and unintended blush, realizing his mind had went a bit overboard with the imagery. "And thank you," he added in regard to the tea, adding a small spoonful of sugar as he prepared his own. "It has been a while since I have had green tea, and I probably need it."
Grabbing his own cup carefully and bringing it close, he inhaled the steam, relishing in the wonderful scent and calming properties it already exerted over his body. Gently he blew the surface of the liquid, watching the ripples move briefly across the tea. Just as he was about to bring the hot mug to his lips, he heard the noise coming from the back door.
"Is that... Kumajirou?" he asked after a moment of hesitation, unable to think of another possible explanation for the noise. "I can let him in," Toris added as he walked to the back door, tea held carefully in his right hand as he slid open the door with his other.

Matthew quickly nodded, swallowing the bit of tea he had carefully let into his mouth. "Thank you!" He took the few steps from the counter to the table on the other side of the room. From there, he could clearly see Kumajirou butting at the glass with his nose. The Canadian nation rolled his eyes. For a grown bear, he would have thought Kukamaji would have outgrown such childish antics.
Kumajirou tapped at the glass with his nose until the green man appeared on the other side of the door. He backed up a step or two and shook the rapidly accumulating snow out of his coat as he waited to be let inside. The moment the door was open far enough, he squeezed through and lumbered over to lay down beneath the kitchen table. "Snowing," he informed his nation. "Snowing lots." Kumajirou had to make sure his nation stayed on top of everything happening around him, because otherwise he would surely take no notice. Really, where would Canada be if not for Kumajirou? Unaware that it was snowing heavily outside, that's for sure.

"Lots..?" Lithuania questioned, taking his eyes off the bear and back out the door he had quickly closed in an attempt to keep the cool air outside. The view took his breath away. What had only been a minimal flurries a while ago had now turned into a full blown snowfall, with huge flakes floating through the air and rapidly accumulating on the ground.
If I don't leave soon... I might get stuck here...
"Kumajirou is right," Toris said as he walked over to the kitchen table, taking a seat in the chair he carefully pulled out, mindful of the large polar bear that now laid beneath it. "The ground is starting to get covered." Toris took a sip of tea. He could feel his nerves acting up. Was it because he had not heard from Russia yet? He was sure the Nation would be demanding to know where he was. Sighing, Toris pulled the hair tie out of his head, shaking his head. Maybe he was over thinking the situation... the weather he checked before only mentioned a light snow, plus it was not like he had never driven in this kinda of weather before. And besides...
He was not ready to return yet. To leave this pleasant and relaxing home for the chaotic gatherings of Countries.... His eyes unconsciously narrowed as he thought about the earlier meeting. It was surely over at this point, and he wondered how many of them took notice that it was two Nations short. The idea did not make him eager to return. Looking up at Canada, Lithuania's distant expression grew into a smile as he observed the blond Nation, who despite only having just gotten to know, already felt like a friend. It would not hurt to stay a little longer...
